I've been filling in the patches of rome that i have have not seen yet- the sistiene chapel is awsome, especially if you have binocs. We went to Assisi (*cough* "Camino Real De Santa Fe De San Franchesco De Assis" *cough*), were Saint Fracesco was born. As many of you may know it was his order that came with the Conquistadors and founded Santa Fe, kinda cool, you know, like, completeing tha circle and stuff, ya.
We went to his bariul site, housed in a church made in his honor. I felt a very nice connection in there, so did dad. Then dad and i got stranded in assisi because of a late train, and we stayed at a hostel, witch was pretty fun... for me. Met some Minnesotains on the ride back. More importaintly, we met some Franciscian monks, with whom I chatted with anf took photos... "When I grow up I wanna be a monk... cus they're ill'n kool"
Latley I've been continuing my exploration of Rome. Today I went to the mouth of truth (not a big deal, never under any circumstace wait in line for this...), I went early so that i wouldn't have to wait in line, the inside of the curch were it is housed is pretty cool, and very old. I also, unintentionally ended up at the palace were the Berlusconi lives-the White House of Italy, lol.
Yesterday a childhood friend of dad's took us touring around in his car. This was great because we got see alot stuff, like the appian way, dad's old catholic school, and the headqurters of the Knights of Malta, that we could ner reach in one day on foot. Also dad's friend has a very nice family. They have hosted us for dinner a couple of times. He works for an italian branch of a spanish company: Endesa Italia, a name that I have memorised thanks to the suitcases of promo stuff (like shirts, hats, and pens etc.) that he has given us.
