big day in da big city

I started the day early, got to the collusiem around opening, NO LINE!!! hung around for a couple of hours, woalked trough the roman forum. There is an arch there that really stired my emotions. It commemerates the plundering of Jerusalem, the destruction of the main Torah and synigauge, and the inprisonment of the king of Judea. the remains of this synigauge is know today as the Wailing Wall, which mourns that perticular plundering of Jerusalem. Then I checked out the Vittorio Emanuele Monument. This brings out my italian patriatism... cus its big... it commemeratis the relitavly recent unification of Italy. went to see the Trevi Fountain in the day light (dad an I saw it last night). Also saw the Parthanon, its big... there is a cool statue of an elephant with an obilisk on its back near there, that is built on the spot where the temple of minerva used to be. Then I took a nap at the temple of hurcules, along the Tiber river. photos soon... Florence tomorrow...
